What is Mixology?

Mixology has become a popular term recently and is generally accepted to be a refined, higher study of mixing cocktails.

It is the art of combining ingredients in the perfect proportions to make a drink which is both pleasing to the palate and the eye.

It takes quite a bit of time and dedication to become a mixologist.  With so many products out there, it is a mixologists knowledge of the products available and skill when balancing them to  create unique cocktails to each persons specific taste.
